BAPTISM

Wade in the water...

Baptism is the main pathway to membership at All Saints.' In it, we are named and claimed as children of  God, who promises to be with us always.  We believe this promise is immovable. Therefore, you can only be baptized once in the Episcopal Church, and we accept baptisms from any Christian community— regardless of age, denomination, or the amount of water involved!

Adult baptism is your opportunity to publicly commit to following Christ and participating in the the church. The first step is to schedule a conversation with one of our priests by contacting Tracey Sage ( ) or by completing a new member form

In child baptism, we celebrate God's unconditional love, present from the beginning. Parents and godparents commit to raising the child in the way of Christ, and the whole community pledges its support. To reserve a place and plan your child's baptism, contact Tracey Sage at .

Simply use this form to transfer your membership from another church or request to be registered as a member at All Saints'.  Welcome home!

CONFIRMATION

Claim your faith

Confirmation represents a deepening awareness and commitment to the love of God poured out in baptism.  It involves a season of study and reflection, culminating in a ceremony where adults and teens publicly affirm their desire to follow Christ. The ceremony is officiated by a bishop (regional leader), who lays hands and prays over each participant, connecting us to the church across time and space.

While encouraged, confirmation is not necessary for membership. Baptism is the sole requirement. Confirmation is however expected for those who may wish to grow in leadership by serving on All Saints' vestry (governing board).

Those who have been already been confirmed or made an adult profession of faith in another denomination may instead be formally received into the Episcopal Church. Being received is very similar to being confirmed, with slightly different wording in the ceremony.  Anyone received is considered a confirmed member. Typically, individuals are prepared for confirmation through the Adult Inquirers' Class or the youth confirmation program.  View upcoming adult classes here, or contact Tracey Sage ( ) to learn more.

From lifelong churchgoers to those considering Christianity for the very first time, all are welcome to participate in our Adult Inquirers' Classes, without any expectation or pressure to be confirmed.  Anyone already confirmed may also take the class as a "refresher."  For them, opportunity is given at the end to publicly reaffirm their faith. View upcoming classes click here, or contact Tracey Sage ( ) to learn more.

Those confirmed through All Saints' are automatically registered as members.

Unsure? Have Questions?

Diversity of thought and perspective is honored here.

At All Saints', we view curiosity and doubt as essential to spiritual growth.  Throughout the bible, we meet a host of questioning companions who wrestle with God and give voice to unbelief.  Jesus himself offered more questions than answers.

As friends of Jesus, we don't think conformity of belief is necessary to belong. We welcome your questions and warmly invite you to bring your whole self to this community, where you will be met with openness and love. Wherever you are on your journey, we count it a privilege to walk with you, as we seek the path towards ever-deepening joy and transformation in God.

How can we be here for you? Our clergy and staff would be glad to talk.
